Established international law firm seeks a mid-to-senior level associate to join its Labor, Employment & Workplace Safety practice in the Newark office. The role focuses on counseling and defending employers on a broad range of employment-law matters and supporting workplace-safety matters.

Day-to-day work includes litigation and investigations, drafting and reviewing employment policies and agreements, and handling employment-related issues arising in business transactions. The team works on matters across industries and collaborates with colleagues across offices.

The practice values candidates who are proactive, comfortable working independently and in teams, and who communicate clearly in writing and orally.

4–6 years of experience in labor and employment law (advising, litigation, and investigations)
Experience drafting and reviewing employment policies and employment-related documents
Some exposure to employment issues in business transactions (e.g., M&A) preferred
Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills
Trial experience is a plus; self-starter who works well individually and in teams
