This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious junior lawyer who enjoys litigation and has an interest in public sector work. Join a market-leading public law litigation practice and play a meaningful role in its continued growth.

Working closely with partners and senior lawyers, you will support clients across a varied caseload involving public sector and health organisations. Responsibilities include assisting on judicial review proceedings, procurement-related disputes, and regulatory and governance matters, as well as contributing to advisory work linked to public law litigation. There will be opportunities to develop specialist expertise and take on increasing responsibility as the practice expands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting on a varied public law litigation caseload
  • Drafting legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and client advice
  • Undertaking legal research and providing commercially focused advice
  • Building strong client relationships and serving as a day-to-day contact
  • Supporting business development, marketing, and client training initiatives

We welcome candidates who are qualified solicitors (NQ to approximately 3 years PQE) with litigation experience and an interest in public law, public sector, healthcare, or regulatory work. Experience in judicial review, procurement litigation, or professional regulatory matters is desirable but not essential. A collaborative, ambitious approach and a keenness to contribute to a growing team are key.

  • Qualified solicitor with 0 to 3 years PQE
  • Experience in litigation (training, qualifying work experience, or post-qualification)
  • Interest in public law, public sector, healthcare, or regulatory matters
  • Strong drafting and research skills
  • Commercial awareness and client-focused approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Desirable: prior exposure to judicial review, public law litigation, procurement disputes, or professional regulatory matters
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious with a desire to contribute to practice growth
