An established insurance-focused litigation team is seeking a Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer to join its Vehicle Hire and Damage practice. The team handles defendant-side credit hire and vehicle damage disputes for a wide portfolio of insurer and self‑insured clients, covering matters from small claims through to multi‑track litigation.

The role offers a mix of litigation work, strategic claim monitoring and insight-driven client advice. There are clear development routes into deeper technical, client-facing or leadership responsibilities, and the team supports continued professional development.

Flexible working is supported, with candidates qualified in England & Wales able to work hybrid or remotely; the team’s core hubs are Birmingham and Newport with occasional office or client meeting attendance expected.

Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with litigation rights (England & Wales)
Proven experience handling credit hire and vehicle damage/related motor litigation
Ability to manage a mixed-value caseload and meet client SLAs, protocols and KPIs
Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and resilience; confident working independently and escalating appropriately
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client contact and team collaboration
Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
