Solicitor — Employers' & Public Liability (Belfast)

An established UK insurance litigation team is hiring an experienced solicitor to join their Northern Ireland casualty/injury group in Belfast. The role involves handling a varied caseload of employers' liability, public liability and disease claims across pre‑litigation and litigated matters.

You will work on defendant-side matters for insurer and corporate clients, assisting with technical defence work, case management, and some supervisory responsibilities. There are opportunities to contribute to business development and to develop technical expertise through internal training and external CPD.

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in employers' liability, public liability or disease claims (Northern Ireland experience required).
• Proven experience handling pre‑litigation and litigated personal injury/casualty matters, including contested liability cases.
• Ability to supervise and support junior team members.
• Strong commercial judgement, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills; able to prioritise and work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Willingness to support marketing/business development activities and to engage in ongoing technical training.
