Apply in confidence →Join a national casualty/insurance practice as a Solicitor or CILEX-qualified lawyer (2–4 years' PQE) supporting a dedicated sports team in Leeds. The role sits within a well-resourced defendant litigation group handling public liability and employers' liability claims for sports bodies, clubs and insurers.
You will manage a varied caseload under supervision, assisting on higher-value and higher-profile matters. Typical duties include disclosure and document review (including e-discovery), drafting witness statements and reports, preparing instructions to counsel and experts, attending hearings and client meetings, and delivering pragmatic, commercial outcomes for clients.
The team operates nationally and offers exposure to specialist casualty work including fraud-related matters. This is a development role for candidates with an interest in sports-related claims and defendant personal injury litigation.
- Qualified solicitor or CILEX with 2–4 years' PQE
- Experience managing employers' liability and public liability (EL/PL) personal injury claims
- Familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules and disclosure/document review processes (e-discovery experience desirable)
- Strong drafting skills (witness statements, instructions, reports), legal/factual research and case management
- Good analytical, communication, teamwork and time-management skills; genuine interest in sport and sports-related claims
