Tax Counsel — Tax (M&A & Real Estate), Rome

Well-established professional services firm in Rome is seeking a Tax Counsel to join its tax team with a focus on tax aspects of M&A and real estate transactions. The role combines transactional advisory, national and cross-border tax planning, and support on compliance and tax litigation matters.

The successful candidate will work on both ordinary and extraordinary corporate tax matters, advising corporate clients and coordinating with wider deal teams. The role requires close collaboration across practice groups and exposure to international tax work.

• 8–10 years' post-qualification experience in tax, gained at established firms
• Proven experience in tax aspects of M&A and real estate transactions, including cross-border matters
• Experience with corporate tax advisory, compliance work and tax litigation
• Degree in economics (specialisation in private practice preferred)
• Excellent command of English and strong interpersonal/teamworking skills
