A role in the Digital Economy Transactions team for a major international law firm seeking a Technology (TMT) Lawyer based in Brisbane. The team advises across the full suite of technology matters including software and systems, cloud, data/privacy, cyber, technology commercial contracts, procurements, complex projects, telecoms and technology aspects of M&A.

This position is for an experienced lawyer (post-qualification) who will work on commercial, regulatory and transactional technology matters for corporate and government clients.   • Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and admission in Australia.
  • Minimum ~5 years post-qualification experience in technology, cyber security and/or privacy-focused practice.
  • Practical experience drafting and negotiating technology contracts and advising on data/privacy and security matters.
  • Experience with Queensland IT contracting frameworks, Security of Critical Infrastructure Act and APRA CPS 230 regulatory matters is highly advantageous.
  • Strong commercial judgment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work with cross-functional teams and clients.
