Core responsibilities include handling unfair labor practice charges and NLRB elections, advising on union organizing and collective bargaining matters, defending grievance/arbitration proceedings, and advising on wage & hour, leave, and accommodation issues. The role also involves handbook and policy review, management training, and occasional due diligence related to transactions.
The posting includes a California salary range: $222,500 - $242,500 (actual compensation will be determined by experience and other permitted factors). Regular business travel may be required.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- 4–6 years’ post-qualification experience in labor & employment litigation or counseling
- California bar admission
- Experience with traditional labor relations and NLRB practice preferred
- Advisory work on federal and California employment laws and wage & hour issues preferred
- Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, organizational and project-management skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
