Apply in confidence →Leading national employment law practice is seeking a Traditional Labor Law Associate to join its San Francisco office. The role focuses on representing management in traditional labor matters and counseling employers on federal and California workplace law.
Typical work includes defending and prosecuting matters before the NLRB, advising on union organizing and card-check/neutrality issues, negotiating and counseling on collective bargaining agreements, handling grievances and arbitrations, and providing wage-and-hour and leave/accommodation guidance. The position may also involve policy and handbook review, management training, and transactional due diligence related to workplace issues.
The role is hybrid, may require regular business travel, and will work closely with national practice teams on complex labor and employment matters.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- 4–6 years of post-qualification experience in litigation or employment advice work
- Experience in traditional labor relations (NLRB practice, collective bargaining, grievances/arbitrations) preferred
- California bar admission required
- Experience advising on federal and California employment laws and agency enforcement preferred
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; excellent attention to detail and project management abilities
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
