Our Health team supports the NHS and independent healthcare organisations, and we are now looking for an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join our dedicated Health Commercial & Regulatory team.
Working across a wide range of procurement and commercial matters, you will enjoy significant client responsibility and exposure, alongside a supportive and collaborative team culture.
Key responsibilities
- Advise contracting authorities and bidders on procurement and contractual matters, including under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the Procurement Act 2023 and the Provider Selection Regime.
- Draft and advise on procurement documentation, framework agreements, call-off terms, bespoke contracts, licensing arrangements and data protection documentation.
- Support on procurement challenges and disputes, working closely with the commercial dispute resolution team.
- Work on innovative contracting models, including joint ventures, alliance and collaboration arrangements.
- Contribute to the wider commercial and regulatory work for NHS and independent sector clients.
- Support business development and profile-raising activity, including networking events and CSR initiatives.
About you
You will have a law degree (or equivalent) and proven experience in commercial, technology, data protection and/or regulatory law, ideally within the health sector (though other relevant experience will be considered). You will demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and research skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and build strong client and team relationships.
Experience in a health legal setting or general procurement is beneficial, and we welcome applications from those in private practice or in-house. If you don't meet every criterion but believe you could add value, we encourage you to apply.
- Law degree (or equivalent)
- Proven experience advising in commercial, technology, data protection and/or regulatory law, ideally within the health sector (other relevant experience considered)
