We provide a full 'life span' service for construction and engineering matters — from structuring, procurement and contract setup to risk management and dispute resolution.
You'll join a strong team of 61 fee earners, working collaboratively with colleagues in real estate, tax and planning. Our clients span private and public sector developers, institutional investors, education sector bodies and contractors. We self-generate most of our work, and you'll be supported by strong leadership and supervision as you develop your understanding of the construction sector locally, nationally and internationally.
What you'll be doing:
- Advising regional and national contractors, developers, government departments and registered providers on complex construction projects
- Advising on dispute resolution, including adjudication, mediation, pre-action protocol claims and litigation
- Advising on dispute avoidance, risk management and contractual interpretation
- Handling domestic projects, with opportunities to work on international matters
- Building and maintaining client relationships and participating in marketing initiatives
- Engaging with the wider life of the firm, including responsible business and ED&I initiatives
The candidate: We are looking for a qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' experience in contentious construction. You'll need excellent technical skills, a strong client focus, commercial awareness, credibility, a strong academic record, and the drive and enthusiasm to develop your career in this sector.
