  • Develop expert-level understanding of client industries and the firm's practice areas.
  • Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.
  • Prepare petitions and applications for submission to government agencies, working with client global mobility teams.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence based on established precedents.
  • Conduct research to support client requests and projects.
  • Supervise paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation.
  • Communicate proactively with clients, adhering to service-level agreements and team protocols.
  • Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
  • Use firm technology accurately and ensure complete data entry.
  • Contribute to team meetings and firmwide activities; mentor and train junior colleagues.
  • Follow documented standards to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory and client compliance.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. JD or LLM required.
  • Member of a U.S. state bar or Washington DC bar.
  • 0–2 years of experience at associate level.
  • Academic understanding of immigration law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and drafting without AI assistance.
  • Dedication to exceptional client service and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
