Clinical Negligence Solicitor

We are currently recruiting for solicitors at various levels across our national offices to join our specialist Healthcare team. The team advises on all aspects of healthcare law, including clinical negligence claims and healthcare regulation, acting for a range of clients including NHS bodies, medical indemnifiers, private hospitals, clinics, care homes, individual clinicians, and insurers.

This is a dynamic and growing practice, offering high-quality work, excellent opportunities for progression, and a flexible working culture. The exact scope of the role will depend on your experience and background.

Main duties and responsibilities may include:

• Case management of pre-litigation and litigated work
• Conducting or assisting on claims and other matters
• Drafting pleadings and providing advice
• Advocacy and attending court
• Meeting internal and client SLAs and KPIs
• Supervision and mentoring
• Client relationship management and business development
• Client secondments and management information completion
• Achieving operational targets

This list is not exhaustive; you will be expected to undertake other duties within the wider remit of the role.

• Qualified solicitor
• Defendant clinical negligence experience
• Knowledge of CPR and solid claims handling experience
• Strong technical ability
• Excellent drafting and communication skills
• Analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Good time management and commercial awareness
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Strong interpersonal skills and computer literacy
