We are seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join our virtual office, working primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing, & Transportation business unit.
The ideal candidate will have four to six years of experience in all phases of complex commercial litigation, including conducting factual investigations, managing discovery, preparing pleadings and motions, taking and defending depositions, engaging in settlement negotiations, and communicating with clients. Additional experience in labor and employment litigation matters is preferred, including the ability to handle depositions and manage cases with a high degree of autonomy.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent academic credentials, superior interpersonal skills, exceptional judgment, and a proven record of working well under pressure. - Residence in Michigan or Ohio required; active bar license in the state of residence required; dual licensure in both Michigan and Ohio preferred.
- Experience in complex commercial litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, articulate legal strategies, and communicate effectively with clients.
- Four to six years of commercial litigation experience.
- Active bar license in the state of residence (Michigan or Ohio); dual licensure preferred.
- Experience in labor and employment litigation preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials and superior writing and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload.
