Consulting Lawyer – Capital Markets (Debt and Equity), Australia

An established global legal consulting platform is seeking experienced capital markets lawyers to join its consultant panel in Australia. This is a self-directed, flexible career route offering access to high-quality work, clients, and resources.

The Role

• Advise on a range of debt capital markets transactions, including investment grade bonds, high yield bonds, MTN programmes, sovereign bonds, and convertible/exchangeable bonds.
• Handle equity capital markets matters, including IPOs, other equity offerings, and block trades.
• Support liability management exercises.

About You

• Qualified to practice law in Australia with unrestricted practicing rights and the right to work and reside in Australia.
• At least four years' post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm and/or a leading financial institution or corporate (directly or as a secondee).
• Strong technical knowledge in a common law jurisdiction.
• Self-starter with a commitment to building a consulting career and a drive to achieve at a high level.
• Adept at leading or working within complex, multi-functional, multinational project environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
• Client service-focused with a strong commercial and business acumen.
• Resilient, adaptable, autonomous, and highly credible, with advanced organisational skills and diplomacy.
