Apply in confidence →Our Corporate Transactions team in Glasgow is seeking an experienced lawyer to join a growing practice focused primarily on private M&A across diverse geographies and sectors, with opportunities to work on technology M&A, private equity, financial services M&A, and infrastructure M&A transactions.
Key responsibilities:
- Demonstrate well-developed verbal and written communication skills and innovative drafting.
- Maintain excellent attention to detail, identifying inconsistencies that signal quality issues or misunderstandings of client needs.
- Negotiate confidently and effectively with clients and counterparties.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs, helping them reach practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Build and maintain a network of business contacts both internally and externally.
About you:
- An associate with post-qualification corporate transactional experience across a wide range of matters.
- An enthusiastic team player who works effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Experience drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, including SPAs, disclosure letters, and equity documents (e.g., shareholders' agreements/JV agreements).
- Experience leading transactions or key workstreams directly with clients.
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional teams.
