eDiscovery Attorney

We are seeking a US-qualified attorney with substantial eDiscovery experience to provide legal advice and sign-off on privilege, disclosure obligations, and legal risk across litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters. Working alongside our eDiscovery team, you will ensure legal input is integrated into operational strategy, vendor management, and best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, and production workflows.
• Providing legal sign-off on review and production strategies to ensure proportionality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
• Coordinating with partners, associates, clients, vendors, forensic specialists, and review teams.
• Reviewing and approving document review and production protocols and associated training.
• Advising on the legal defensibility of review tools, analytics, technology-assisted review, and other eDiscovery technologies.
• Assisting with review planning, including reviewer training, escalation routes, quality control, and consistency checks.
• Preparing matter updates, status reports, and metrics for internal teams and clients.
• Advising on legal and regulatory compliance in external provider and client relationships.
• Contributing to internal best practices, playbooks, templates, and training on eDiscovery processes.
• Monitoring legal, procedural, and technological developments relevant to eDiscovery.

We are looking for a self-starter with strong initiative, excellent communication and influencing skills, and the confidence to engage with all levels of staff. You should have strong project management skills, a pragmatic approach, and a high attention to detail. A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications: US-qualified lawyer with a minimum of ten years post-qualification experience, including advising on eDiscovery, reviews, productions, and investigations. A thorough understanding of the eDiscovery lifecycle (preservation, collection, review, production) and applicable rules and disclosure obligations is required. Extensive experience with leading eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity) and familiarity with analytics, email threading, deduplication, predictive coding, and technology-assisted review are expected. Cross-border experience and knowledge of data privacy issues are advantageous.

• Cross-border and data privacy experience preferred
