An international law firm is seeking a General Banking Associate to join its Global Financial Markets practice in Hong Kong. The role involves working on a broad range of complex finance transactions across leveraged and acquisition finance, private credit/direct lending, project and real estate finance, and restructuring.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating financing documentation, supporting transaction structuring and execution, conducting legal research, coordinating with other practice groups and regional offices, and contributing to business development and knowledge management.

The team offers exposure to high-profile, cross-jurisdictional matters and a collaborative environment with opportunities to mentor junior lawyers and develop client-facing skills.

2-5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in finance transactions.
Qualified in Hong Kong or another common-law jurisdiction.
Experience at a recognised law firm with a solid finance practice; exposure to leveraged finance, acquisition finance or private credit advantageous.
Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills; ability to manage complex transactions and tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin or Cantonese skills highly desirable.
