Join a leading national Insurance Law & Litigation practice, working on high-profile cyber matters within a collaborative and supportive team.

  • Manage cyber incident response matters from initial triage through to resolution, liaising with clients, insurers, and technical experts.
  • Provide practical legal advice on cyber incident risks, privacy, and data breach obligations, including regulatory and individual notifications where required.
  • Act as a key client contact, coordinating stakeholders, obtaining instructions, and advising on recoveries and disputes arising from incidents.
  • Advise insurers on cyber coverage issues and act as coverage and monitoring counsel on significant cyber incidents, with day-to-day carriage of matters.
  • Prepare briefs for counsel and leverage litigation expertise to advise on disputes or class actions arising from data breaches.

You will be reporting directly to a partner and have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, collaborate with industry-leading professionals, and contribute to the continued success and growth of the practice.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Law and a current practising certificate in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • At least 3 years' post-admission experience in cyber, financial lines, or commercial litigation.
  • Experience in insurance law, or exposure to the insurance sector, is highly regarded.
  • Strong critical thinking and investigative skills, with the ability to approach issues creatively and strategically.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills, file management, and billing skills with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
  • A strong client service mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to facilitate presentations and meetings.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • A proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and suggest practical solutions.
