About the Role

A leading national law firm with a strong reputation in defendant insurance litigation is seeking a Paralegal to join its dedicated Local Government team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing team handling complex social care claims and related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist fee earners with large-scale document reviews and case management in social care disputes.
• Draft witness statements, reports, and legal correspondence.
• Prepare for court hearings and client meetings, supporting senior solicitors.
• Liaise with counsel, experts, clients, and third parties to progress cases efficiently.
• Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with deadlines, SLAs, and quality standards.
• Support business development activities and maintain accurate records.

About You

• Previous paralegal experience in defendant personal injury (EL/PL) or related litigation is essential.
• Knowledge of highways, housing law, or social care claims is desirable.
• Strong drafting, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with CPR procedures and a keen attention to detail.
