Mid-Level to Senior Associate, Insurance Litigation (Property Claims)

A leading Canadian litigation team is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Associate with at least five years of post-call experience to join its Vancouver office. This role focuses on property-related claims on behalf of private insurers, offering the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of complex property loss, coverage, recovery, and liability disputes.

• Manage a portfolio of property insurance litigation matters, including claims arising from fire, water damage, theft, equipment or product failure, business interruption, and other significant losses.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical, commercially focused advice from file inception through resolution.
• Conduct examinations for discovery, mediations, arbitrations, court appearances, and trials.
• Work closely with adjusters, brokers, engineers, accountants, and other experts.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive, solutions-oriented service.
• Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• At least five years of post-call litigation experience.
• Experience independently managing property-related claims or insurance litigation files.
• Experience acting for private insurers, institutional clients, or corporate clients.
• Excellent advocacy, drafting, analytical, negotiation, and file-management skills.
