Innovation Counsel – Generative AI Workflows (Litigation)

We are seeking a forward-thinking Innovation Counsel with litigation experience to join our Innovation team, based in our Montreal or Toronto office, with a primary focus on transforming legal workflows through the application of generative AI. In this role, you will work closely with lawyers across our Toronto, Montreal, and New York offices to identify and implement AI-powered workflows that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client value in litigation matters.

This is an ideal role for an experienced litigator who is passionate about legal technology, process improvement, and the transformation of legal services. Responsibilities will include ideating, designing, and implementing generative AI-powered workflows tailored to litigation practice needs, as well as serving as a key resource for training and supporting lawyers in our Litigation group in the adoption and effective use of generative AI tools.

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification; active bar membership preferred
• 3+ years of experience as a practicing litigator, with demonstrated interest or experience in legal technology, innovation, and/or process improvement
• Strong understanding of generative AI concepts, legal tech tools (e.g., Harvey, Copilot) and workflow automation
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills
• Analytical mindset with a demonstrated passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Proven ability to lead change management initiatives and support lawyers in adopting new technologies
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Bilingualism (English/French) is strongly preferred
