Midlevel Associate, Intellectual Property (Life Sciences) — Irvine

Growing IP team seeks a midlevel associate to join a life‑sciences focused patent prosecution group in Irvine. The role centers on drafting and prosecuting biotechnology patents and supporting client counselling on IP strategy.

Ideal candidates will have hands‑on patent prosecution experience in biotech, an advanced life‑sciences degree, and the ability to work collaboratively on cross‑disciplinary matters. This is a practice role with regular interaction across technical and legal teams.

• 1–5 years patent prosecution experience, preferably in biotechnology/ life sciences.
• Advanced degree in a life‑science technology area; Ph.D. preferred.
• USPTO registration (patent bar) required — or willing to prepare for, take, and pass the exam prior to or within 12 months of hire.
• Strong patent drafting and prosecution skills, attention to detail, and effective written and oral communication.
