The role centers on customs, trade policy, trade law and trade remedies, with opportunities to work on related national security matters such as export controls, sanctions and CFIUS as needed.
The team offers structured mentoring for laterals, an active pro bono program, and a hybrid working model (regular in-office days with remote flexibility). The position may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
The expected starting base salary range for this role in Washington, D.C. is $365,000–$420,000 (final salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors).
- Approximately 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in international trade (mid to senior level)
- Substantial experience with customs, trade policy, trade law and trade remedies
- Willingness to handle related national security work (export controls, sanctions, CFIUS) as needed
- Strong academic record and excellent legal writing skills
