Apply in confidence →Our Sydney Corporate practice is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join a high-performing team and take a leading role in complex, market-leading transactions.
The team is one of Australia’s leading venture capital and growth-focused corporate practices, advising founders, high-growth companies, investors, and venture capital funds across the full investment lifecycle—from early-stage and growth capital raisings to later-stage investments, M&A, global expansion, and exits.
What the role involves:
- Advising founders, high-growth companies, investors, and venture capital funds on M&A, private equity, venture capital, and growth capital transactions.
- Taking a leading role on matters and working directly with clients.
- Managing key transaction workstreams and driving matters to completion.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
- Participating in business development and client relationship activities.
- Collaborating with lawyers across a global network, including on cross-border matters.
About you:
- 5+ years' experience, with exposure to venture capital, private M&A, and/or private equity transactions.
- Excellent technical ability and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong drafting and transaction management skills.
- A commercial, practical, and proactive approach to advice.
- Confidence working directly with clients and managing client relationships.
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
