Our Sydney Corporate practice is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join a high-performing team and take a leading role in complex, market-leading transactions.

The team is one of Australia’s leading venture capital and growth-focused corporate practices, advising founders, high-growth companies, investors, and venture capital funds across the full investment lifecycle—from early-stage and growth capital raisings to later-stage investments, M&A, global expansion, and exits.

What the role involves:

  • Advising founders, high-growth companies, investors, and venture capital funds on M&A, private equity, venture capital, and growth capital transactions.
  • Taking a leading role on matters and working directly with clients.
  • Managing key transaction workstreams and driving matters to completion.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
  • Participating in business development and client relationship activities.
  • Collaborating with lawyers across a global network, including on cross-border matters.

About you:

  • 5+ years' experience, with exposure to venture capital, private M&A, and/or private equity transactions.
  • Excellent technical ability and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong drafting and transaction management skills.
  • A commercial, practical, and proactive approach to advice.
  • Confidence working directly with clients and managing client relationships.
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
