Apply in confidence →This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor to join our Document Review and Collation (DRC) team in a substantive, client-facing role with real scope for career development.
The DRC team provides multi-disciplinary expertise and scalable legal resources to support all legal groups in delivering large-scale projects and legal managed services for clients. The team comprises qualified Solicitors and Paralegals who support both contentious and non-contentious fee earners, working predominantly on data subject access requests (DSARs) and document review and disclosure exercises.
We handle a wide range of matters, from short, focused tasks to extended project-based engagements requiring a dedicated team over several months. As the team continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Solicitor to join us, take ownership of key workflows, and develop a career within a specialist legal operations environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage DSAR, document review, and eDiscovery workstreams from scoping through to final delivery, ensuring outputs are accurate, efficient, and within agreed legal, client, and statutory timeframes.
- Perform second-level review and quality control, applying data protection principles, exemptions, privilege, confidentiality, disclosure obligations, and agreed coding or review protocols; act as the final quality-control checkpoint before DSAR responses are issued.
- Provide high-quality legal and operational support across document review and managed legal services projects, applying sound judgement to routine and complex matters and escalating risks appropriately.
- Use technology to improve delivery, including platforms such as Relativity, Legora, Microsoft Copilot, and other review or workflow solutions to enhance quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Support junior colleagues, project workers, and reviewers through guidance, informal or delegated supervision, quality feedback, and day-to-day oversight.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers through clear communication, practical guidance, and timely updates.
- Contribute to business-development activities through client-facing responsibilities and commercial support.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with relevant experience in document review, eDiscovery, legal operations, ALSP, managed legal services, or similar delivery environments.
- Experience in high-volume DSAR caseloads, document review, eDiscovery, investigations, regulatory work, litigation support, managed legal services, or a comparable legal operations / shared services environment.
- Experience performing quality control, second-level review, or supervision of document review, DSAR, or eDiscovery outputs.
- Experience advising and providing estimates and quotes to internal and external clients.
- Strong legal, analytical, and practical judgement, with the ability to apply principles relating to disclosure, redaction, privilege, confidentiality, data protection, and exemptions.
- Experience using document review or legal technology platforms, such as Relativity or similar tools.
- Interest in or experience with technology-enabled legal delivery, including tools such as Legora, Microsoft Copilot, workflow tools, analytics, or automation.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently within a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- A practical, creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage issues quickly and effectively.
