An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate or Legal Director to join a leading global law firm's Corporate & Advisory group on a fixed-term contract basis. This role is based in Guildford, with travel to London required as part of the position.

You will join a collaborative and internationally integrated team that advises a diverse range of clients across key sectors including insurance, transportation, professional services, energy, construction, commodities, infrastructure, real estate, and technology. The team handles high-quality private M&A transactions, joint ventures, and corporate governance matters, offering significant exposure to cross-border work.

As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of client matters, leading smaller transactions and workstreams while co-leading larger deals alongside partners. You will have direct client contact and play a key role in business development and team growth.

This position requires at least 5 years' PQE with strong corporate transactional experience. You will be an excellent communicator, commercially astute, and capable of managing complex matters independently.

Qualified solicitor or registered European lawyer (with valid practising certificate in England & Wales where applicable)
Minimum 5 years' PQE with experience in corporate and commercial matters
Strong technical skills and sound judgement
Good communication, attention to detail, and client-facing abilities
Proactive, with a strong work ethic and ability to take responsibility
