Apply in confidence →Seeking a Senior Associate to join a national Finance & Financial Services team focused on leveraged finance and private credit. The role involves leading complex sponsor-backed acquisition financings, syndicated and unitranche financings, mezzanine and subordinated financings, and liability-management and refinancing transactions.
The team represents financial institutions, private credit funds, BDCs and other non-bank lenders on multi-lender, cross-border and multi-currency matters. The position is open across multiple U.S. offices; candidates should be prepared to manage client-facing responsibilities and drive transactions to close in a fast-paced environment.
- 5–7 years’ leveraged finance/private credit experience handling complex debt transactions at a national or major U.S. law firm.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school; admission or eligibility for admission to one or more relevant state bars (e.g. FL, NY, MA, IL, GA, NC, TX) preferred.
- Strong familiarity with LMEs, unitranche (first-out/last-out) structures, multi-lender syndications, intercreditors, and sponsor finance market terms.
- Proven drafting skills (credit agreements, security documents, intercreditors, commitment papers), excellent judgment and commercial awareness.
- Big-law training with a track record on sophisticated, sponsored transactions; self-starter with excellent communication and client-management skills.
- For some office locations, candidates must be resident in the local market at or prior to hire and able to work in the office at least three days per week.
