Seeking a counsel-level litigation attorney to join a busy trial and defense team in New York handling complex general liability matters. The role focuses on insurance-defense litigation across areas such as New York Labor Law, premises liability, catastrophic injury, hospitality, transportation and negligent security, from initial pleading through trial or mediation.

The successful candidate will manage a substantial caseload, take and defend depositions, draft pleadings and motions, lead discovery, develop case strategies and report to insurer clients and insureds. The role includes supervision of associates and paralegals and regular client interaction with domestic and international insurer stakeholders.

Admitted to practice in New York
Approximately 8+ years post-qualification litigation experience (J.D. 2016 or earlier)
Proven courtroom experience including taking/defending depositions and attending hearings/mediations
Strong legal research and superior written and oral communication skills
Experience managing a busy caseload and supervising junior lawyers and support staff
