About the opportunity

We are seeking a Solicitor to join a leading trademarks practice based in Melbourne or Sydney. Working closely with the broader IP disputes team, you will support national and international clients across the full spectrum of trademark work.

Key responsibilities

• Australian and international trademark filing and prosecution
• Trademark portfolio management
• Rebranding and clearance advice
• Drafting and negotiating consents and co-existence agreements
• Advising on IP aspects of due diligence
• Supporting trademark and domain name disputes

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years’ demonstrable experience in trademark prosecution from a leading national or international private practice, or an in-house environment
• Admission as a lawyer in Australia or New Zealand
• Excellent academic record with strong legal skills and a practical mindset
• Proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of a supportive, market-leading team
• Ability to work to tight timeframes, both collaboratively and autonomously
• Excellent communication and collegiality
• Hunger to learn and develop within a leading practice
• Innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies

You’ll join a tight-knit team with over a decade of collaboration, advising on all areas of trademark portfolio management and protecting the brands of some of Australia’s most recognised names. The role offers strategic involvement in high-value IP, including licensing and commercial agreements.
