Apply in confidence →Join a growing transport regulatory team within a national regulatory practice advising major transport, logistics and fleet operator clients. The role involves managing a busy caseload of transport regulatory matters, supporting hearings before Traffic Commissioners, responding to DVSA and police investigations, and conducting legally privileged internal investigations.
You will prepare cases for hearing (witness statements, submissions, bundles), undertake advocacy and PACE interview representation, deliver client training exercises and compliance reviews, and support business development and public-speaking activities. The role requires occasional nationwide travel to client sites and hearings.
This is an opportunity to develop a specialism in high-consequence, privately funded regulatory law within a collaborative, expanding team.
- Qualified solicitor with c.2–6 years' PQE
- Strong drafting and written communication skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage a complex caseload under pressure
- Advocacy skills or willingness to develop advocacy
- Comfortable with occasional nationwide travel to attend hearings and client meetings
- Desirable: experience in transport regulatory work, DVSA/DVLA investigations, legally privileged investigations, or advising on fatal incidents; client-facing and business development experience advantageous
