Associate — Employment & Labor — Birmingham, MI

Seeking an Employment Litigation Associate to join a well-established, national labor & employment practice in the Birmingham, Michigan office. The role offers hands-on litigation experience representing employers in state and federal matters and frequent engagement with clients, agencies, and opposing counsel.

Typical responsibilities include legal research and drafting (memoranda, motions, pleadings), conducting discovery and internal investigations, preparing position statements and dispositive motions, and counseling clients on workplace issues. The team emphasizes collegiality, attorney development, and regular firm-wide training and conferences.

• Juris Doctor and active Michigan bar admission (or eligibility to be admitted)
• Experience in employment litigation (motions, discovery, hearings) — litigation-focused background preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills; comfort with client-facing responsibilities
• Ability to work collaboratively on teams and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
