Join an established employment team in an expanding Birmingham office to advise claimants, trade unions and staff associations on contentious employment matters. The role covers tribunal and civil court litigation, regulatory and pension issues, and alternative dispute resolution.

You will manage a caseload from initial merits assessment through to trial, draft pleadings and submissions, conduct preliminary advocacy in tribunals, and provide day-to-day legal advice and training to clients. The team handles group actions, test cases and appellate litigation, offering exposure to high-profile and complex claimant work.

SRA qualified with 5-8 years' post-qualification experience
Substantive experience on claimant-side employment work, ideally within a recognised employment practice or in-house team
Proven ability to manage tribunal caseloads through to final trial and conduct advocacy at preliminary hearings
Knowledge of employment law, with regulatory and pension experience desirable
Strong drafting, research, client-care and organisational skills; ability to work independently and in teams; comfortable with litigation/case-management IT platforms
