Apply in confidence →Top-tier New York law department seeks an experienced associate to join its prudential bank regulatory team advising U.S. and international banks, bank holding companies, and their affiliates. The role focuses on compliance with federal and state banking laws and navigating supervisory engagement.
Typical matters include counseling on capital and liquidity, governance, risk management, chartering and licensing, regulatory notices and applications, and banking activities and transactions across statutes and rules such as the Bank Holding Company Act, National Bank Act, FDIC-related rules, CRA, Volcker Rule, and various banking regulations.
The team routinely supports clients responding to regulatory examinations, supervisory findings, and enforcement matters before federal and state banking regulators.
- Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience advising banks, bank holding companies, or related financial institutions on prudential regulatory matters.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. prudential regulatory framework and supervisory process, including capital, liquidity, governance, and risk-management issues.
- Experience with regulatory applications, notices, and responding to examinations or enforcement actions.
- Admission to, or eligibility for prompt admission to, the New York bar.
