The group handles commercial litigation and advisory work arising from technology projects, software and services, AI and data disputes, and related claims (misuse of data, breach of confidence, trade secrets and software copyright/license matters).
Most matters are English court litigation, with some international and arbitration work and frequent resolution via ADR. The role offers exposure to high‑profile, cross‑disciplinary disputes and opportunities to contribute to business development, training and wider innovation‑focused projects across the department.
- 3–5 years PQE in commercial litigation, IT disputes or a tech disputes team in private practice.
- Practical experience of contractual tech disputes (software/IT projects, licensing, supply/implementation disputes); familiarity with IP‑adjacent claims (software copyright, confidential information, trade secrets) is advantageous.
- Comfortable with English court proceedings; arbitration/ADR experience helpful.
- Strong written and interpersonal skills, client care focus and the ability to manage a varied case load independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in technology (IT/programming or computer science background welcome but not required) and a commitment to business development and professional growth.
