How you will make a difference:
- Develop an expert-level understanding of client industries and the firm’s practice areas and services.
- Develop case strategies, including researching, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients, and triaging initiations.
- Identify and resolve escalations and areas of underperformance.
- Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals on procedural issues, case processing, and strategy.
- Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
- Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.
- Work with client global mobility personnel to prepare and submit petitions and applications to government agencies.
- Draft letters and legal documents based on established precedents.
- Conduct research to support client requests and projects.
- Engage proactively with clients within SLAs/team protocols, responding precisely, efficiently, and thoughtfully.
- Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support projects.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and staff, sharing immigration knowledge and expertise.
- Continuously improve quality, efficiency, and standardization in processes, products, or services.
- Use firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Contribute actively to team meetings and firmwide activities.
- Ensure compliance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and client protocols.
Qualifications:
- U.S. JD or LLM required.
- Membership in a U.S. state bar or the Washington DC bar.
- 2–3 years of experience at Associate level.
- Expanded practical understanding of immigration law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong proofreading and drafting skills.
- Commitment to exceptional client service and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
- Positive, collaborative mindset.
- U.S. JD or LLM required.
- Membership in a U.S. state bar or the Washington DC bar.
- 2–3 years of experience at Associate level.
