How you will make a difference:

  • Develop an expert-level understanding of client industries and the firm’s practice areas and services.
  • Develop case strategies, including researching, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients, and triaging initiations.
  • Identify and resolve escalations and areas of underperformance.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals on procedural issues, case processing, and strategy.
  • Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
  • Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.
  • Work with client global mobility personnel to prepare and submit petitions and applications to government agencies.
  • Draft letters and legal documents based on established precedents.
  • Conduct research to support client requests and projects.
  • Engage proactively with clients within SLAs/team protocols, responding precisely, efficiently, and thoughtfully.
  • Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support projects.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and staff, sharing immigration knowledge and expertise.
  • Continuously improve quality, efficiency, and standardization in processes, products, or services.
  • Use firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Contribute actively to team meetings and firmwide activities.
  • Ensure compliance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and client protocols.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. JD or LLM required.
  • Membership in a U.S. state bar or the Washington DC bar.
  • 2–3 years of experience at Associate level.
  • Expanded practical understanding of immigration law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong proofreading and drafting skills.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Positive, collaborative mindset.
  • U.S. JD or LLM required.
  • Membership in a U.S. state bar or the Washington DC bar.
  • 2–3 years of experience at Associate level.
  • Expanded practical understanding of immigration law.
