Apply in confidence →Senior, firmwide role leading attorney development, learning, mentoring and engagement for a large, multi-office U.S. law firm. This position designs and implements an integrated curriculum spanning substantive legal skills, business development, leadership, collaboration and GenAI literacy, and partners with executive leadership to align development work with firm strategy.
Responsibilities include building leadership-accelerator and cohort programs, managing performance-review and promotion support processes, overseeing firmwide CLE/MCLE and risk/ethics training, directing pro bono and alumni engagement strategies, and supervising an Opportunity & Engagement team. The role requires cross-office collaboration with recruiting, HR, IT/security, business development and practice leaders.
In-office in one of the firm’s major U.S. offices with some travel; reports to executive leadership and works closely with the firm’s senior management teams.
- Juris Doctor preferred; bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years as a practicing attorney and/or comparable professional experience; 10+ years leading talent development, learning or professional development programs in a law-firm environment.
- Proven track record building multi-jurisdictional training and development programs across diverse practices (transactional, litigation, regulatory, IP).
- Familiarity with CLE/MCLE rules, attorney professional responsibilities, and risk topics such as cybersecurity and ethical use of AI.
- Experience managing budgets, supervising staff, and partnering with senior stakeholders; strong presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort using learning technologies and GenAI tools to operationalize programs; ability to travel occasionally.
