Apply in confidence →Our Healthcare team is a vibrant specialist department providing advice on all aspects of healthcare law, including clinical negligence, patient safety, consent to treatment, human rights, child law and mental health. The team works hard to secure the right outcomes for clients, while developing technical skills and adapting to evolving client needs in a fast-moving sector.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of litigated and pre-litigated clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS bodies. Duties include conducting investigations, liaising with claimants, solicitors, counsel and experts, meeting financial and chargeable targets, drafting pleadings and reports, and supporting the team manager with casework, business development and client training.
This is a defendant-focused role, but we welcome applications from talented claimant solicitors who wish to switch to defence work, with full support provided to help you thrive.
- Qualified solicitor with 2+ years' PQE
- Knowledge of CPR procedures and proven technical ability
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and timescales
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Flexible approach and adaptability to varied tasks
