Midlevel patent prosecution role within a life sciences/biotechnology practice based in Washington, DC. The team handles prosecution matters across biologics, molecular biology, and related life-science technologies.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on patent prosecution experience and an advanced life-sciences technical degree. This is an opportunity to join a large, interdisciplinary IP group with access to complex domestic patent portfolios.

1–5 years' patent prosecution experience, preferably in biotechnology/life sciences
Advanced degree in a life-sciences field preferred (Ph.D. preferred)
USPTO registration required; candidates must be prepared to take and pass the patent bar if not already registered (within first 12 months)
Strong drafting and prosecution skills and familiarity with life-science patent strategies
