Our client, a global AmLaw 50 full-service law firm, is seeking an International Trade Associate with 5 to 7 years of experience to join its Governmental Practice Group. The position is open to any of the firm's Southern California offices, with a preference for candidates based in or willing to relocate to the Orange County, Los Angeles, or Century City locations.

The International Trade team advises clients on a full range of trade matters, including sanctions, export and import controls, anti-bribery compliance, and foreign investment reviews. The team regularly practices before key U.S. agencies, including the Departments of Commerce, State, and Treasury, as well as U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. International Trade Commission, among others.

We are looking for a mid-level associate to support this full-scope practice. Ideal candidates will have experience in three or more of the following areas:

Export controls (EAR and ITAR)
Foreign investment reviews (CFIUS)
Economic sanctions and embargoes
Customs law
International trade agreements
Antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD)

Requirements include:

At least 5 to 7 years of international trade law experience, preferably with a large law firm or relevant government agency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong academic credentials
Research and analytical skills

Applicants must be admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar. The salary range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000.
