A global AmLaw 50 full-service law firm is seeking an International Trade Associate with 5–7 years of experience to join its Governmental Practice Group. The position can be based in any of the firm's Southern California offices, with a preference for candidates based in or willing to relocate to the Orange County, Los Angeles, or Century City locations.

The International Trade team advises clients on complex sanctions, export, import, anti-bribery, and foreign investment matters, appearing before key U.S. agencies including the Department of Commerce (BIS), Department of State (DDTC), Department of the Treasury (OFAC), Customs and Border Protection, Import Administration, International Trade Commission, and CFIUS.

The role involves supporting the full scope of the international trade practice. Candidates with experience in three or more of the following areas are preferred: export controls (EAR/ITAR), CFIUS, economic sanctions, customs law, international trade agreements, and antidumping/countervailing duties.

5–7 years of international trade law experience, preferably at a large law firm or relevant government agency
Admitted to and in good standing with the California bar
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong academic credentials
Strong research and analytical skills
