Our client, a leading AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking an International Trade Associate with 5 to 7 years of experience to join its Governmental Practice Group. This role offers the flexibility to be based in any of the firm's Southern California offices, with a preference for candidates located in or willing to relocate to Orange County, Los Angeles, or Century City.

The International Trade team advises clients on a comprehensive range of trade compliance matters, including sanctions, export controls, import regulations, anti-bribery, and foreign investment reviews. The team regularly appears before key U.S. regulatory agencies.

Preferred candidates will have experience in at least three of the following areas:

  • Export controls (EAR, ITAR)
  • Foreign investment reviews (CFIUS)
  • Economic sanctions and embargoes
  • Customs law
  • International trade agreements
  • Antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD)

Requirements include excellent communication and analytical skills, strong academic credentials, and admission to the California bar.

At least 5 to 7 years of international trade law experience, preferably with a large law firm or a relevant government agency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong academic credentials. Research and analytical skills. Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California bar.
