We are seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our San Francisco office. This is a full-time, in-office role (minimum three days per week) focused on traditional labor law, supporting employers across a range of industries.

Our Labor & Employment practice is one of the largest in the country, with over 150 attorneys advising clients—from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups—on all aspects of workplace law, including labor relations, litigation, counseling, and union-management matters.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in traditional labor law and excels in:

  • Union Campaigns & Organizing: advising employers on organizing drives, vulnerability assessments, and strategic communication campaigns.
  • NLRB Advocacy & Litigation: handling unfair labor practice proceedings, representation cases, and hearings before the NLRB and state labor relations boards.
  • Grievance & Arbitration: managing contract grievances, contract interpretations, and labor arbitrations.
  • Collective Bargaining: serving as spokesperson or strategist in negotiations, drafting contract language, and advising on labor agreements.
  • Crisis Management: providing rapid-response counseling for labor disputes, restructuring, strikes, picketing, and other workplace crises.
  • Corporate Transactions: counseling private equity funds, strategic buyers, and corporate clients on labor aspects of M&A, due diligence, successorship risks, and pension obligations.

Candidates must have high academic credentials and be admitted to the California Bar. Please submit a resume, cover letter, and law school transcript to apply.

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic record
  • Admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
  • 3–6 years of labor and employment experience, with focus on traditional labor law
  • Experience with union organizing campaigns, NLRB proceedings, grievance and arbitration, collective bargaining, and crisis management
  • Ability to work in office at least three days per week
