The group advises employers ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups in all aspects of employment counseling, litigation, and labor relations.

The Traditional Labor team is growing and seeks an outstanding associate with hands-on experience in the following areas:

  • Collective Bargaining: Serving as spokesperson or strategist in negotiations, drafting contract language, and advising on labor agreements.
  • Crisis Management: Providing rapid-response counsel on labor disputes, restructuring, strikes, picketing, and other workplace crises.
  • Corporate Transactions: Counseling private equity funds and strategic buyers on labor and employment aspects of M&A, restructurings, and development projects, including labor due diligence, successorship risk, and drafting labor-related provisions in purchase agreements.

Qualified candidates must have high grades, be admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar, and possess excellent written and oral advocacy skills. The role offers a competitive compensation package.

  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in traditional labor law (union campaigns, NLRB proceedings, collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration).
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate transactions involving labor law (due diligence, successorship, CBAs, multiemployer pension obligations).
