This role bridges legal practice, technology, and innovation, working within the firm's Knowledge Management & AI Group to design and implement AI-driven tools and workflows that enhance how restructuring work is delivered.

Based in any U.S. office (New York preferred), the attorney will collaborate with lawyers, technologists, and administrative teams to identify opportunities for automation, knowledge extraction, and technology-enabled solutions in restructuring matters. The ideal candidate brings substantive restructuring experience, an innovator's mindset, and the credibility to earn the trust of practicing lawyers.

This position reports to the Senior Director & Counsel of Knowledge & AI and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of legal practice at the intersection of law and technology.

Provide training and gather feedback to drive adoption.
  • Knowledge & Practice Support: Develop and maintain knowledge resources for a range of restructuring matters—including chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings, liability management transactions, DIP and exit financing, distressed asset sales, and plans of reorganization. Review and update templates and precedents, create guidance and playbooks, and serve as a trusted resource for lawyers.
  • Qualifications: J.D. or equivalent; admission to practice in the state where based (in good standing); minimum 4 years of restructuring experience; strong passion for AI and emerging technology; excellent communication, critical-thinking, and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple priorities; and a commitment to knowledge-sharing and client service. Coding or tech-building experience is highly valued.
  • J.D., Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent with strong academic credentials; must be admitted to practice and in good standing in the state where based.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply legal training to new contexts, including workflow design, tool development, or process improvement; personal or professional coding or tech-building experience is highly valued.
  • Passion for AI and emerging technology, with a strong perspective on applying these tools to restructuring practice.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and legal teams.
  • Strong initiative, critical-thinking, and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, knowledge-sharing, and client service.
