Managing Associate (Knowledge)

We are seeking a Managing Associate (Knowledge) to develop and lead the knowledge function for our US Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations (LAI) practice in New York. Working closely with partners, associates, and business teams, you will shape how the practice captures, shares, and leverages knowhow and learning to support both legal service delivery and business development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing the knowledge strategy, including knowhow systems, policies, and precedents.
• Creating and updating model forms, precedents, manuals, and related documentation to reflect legal and market developments.
• Driving the adoption of generative AI, legal technology, and workflow enhancements across the US practice.
• Debriefing lawyers to capture best practices and ensure knowhow is indexed and accessible.
• Developing and delivering legal training programs, in conjunction with our Knowledge & Learning team.
• Identifying and circulating relevant articles, legal updates, and market trends.
• Supporting business development by maintaining matter lists, practice profiles, and client publications.
• Collaborating with the Knowledge & Learning team to identify training needs and evaluate processes.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on ownership and innovation, with a strong interest in AI and legal technology.

• US qualified lawyer (NY or DC) with a minimum of four years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in technical training development and delivery.
• Knowledge of and interest in AI technology and the evolving AI landscape.
• Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, consultative, and detail-oriented.
• Client-focused with experience managing client/business relationships.
• Up to date on market developments.
