Patent Litigation Associate — Intellectual Property, Los Angeles

Top-tier intellectual property team in Los Angeles is seeking a junior to mid-level Patent Litigation Associate to join a busy practice handling complex district-court and ITC patent disputes. The team represents technology, telecommunications, software, financial services and manufacturing clients in both offensive and defensive matters, including cases involving non-practicing entities.

The role offers exposure to all phases of patent litigation: discovery, claim construction, motions practice, depositions and trial preparation. Associates work with technically sophisticated matters alongside experienced litigators and benefit from a practice that values technical backgrounds and advanced degrees in engineering or the sciences.

• Junior to mid-level associate with relevant patent litigation experience (early to mid PQE)
• Strong academic credentials and JD required; bar admission in California preferred or willingness to seek admission
• Demonstrated litigation skills: briefing, discovery, and deposition support
• Technical aptitude; advanced degree in engineering/science or strong technical coursework preferred
• Excellent drafting, research, and client-communication skills; team-oriented and able to manage competing deadlines
