Pensions Associate

We are looking for a Pensions Associate (NQ to 2 years' PQE) to join our market-leading Pensions practice in our Leeds office.

In this role, you will advise employers and trustees on the full spectrum of pensions matters, including scheme governance, administration, regulatory compliance, and the pensions aspects of corporate transactions and restructuring. You will have the opportunity to work within a collaborative and ambitious national team, gain early client exposure, and contribute to business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising employers and trustees on a broad range of pensions matters, ensuring high-quality work delivered to agreed deadlines.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, client communications, and advisory materials.
  • Supporting on pensions aspects of corporate transactions, restructuring, and employment matters.
  • Advising on scheme governance, administration, and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Working closely with colleagues across practice groups to provide integrated client solutions.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives, client training, and thought leadership activities.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with NQ to 2 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders at different levels.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • A keen interest in pensions law; experience is beneficial but not essential.
