We are seeking an experienced attorney to support our Private Equity practice group as a resource attorney. In this non-billable role, you will not work directly with clients but will play a vital role in enabling our practitioners to work more efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities include:
- Managing M&A and PE data, experience, and know-how to support the group’s knowledge management efforts.
- Drafting and revising template documents, and curating PE group forms, precedents, and other resources.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments in PE and key industry verticals (software, SaaS, fintech, telecom, education), preparing summaries and alerts.
- Developing and maintaining the internal practice page for the PE group.
- Coordinating with the legal education team to design and prepare associate trainings and firmwide training on PE topics.
- Working with the PE/M&A marketing team on promotional content, pitches, and tailored materials.
- Collaborating with quantitative analysts, resource attorneys in other practice groups, and the innovation team on AI and tech-enabled workflows.
- Assisting with day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and resources.
- Supporting resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects.
Skills and Experience:
- Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US PE corporate/transactional practice.
- Strong understanding of private equity, including M&A, portfolio company management, partnership-based equity compensation and related tax issues, M&A acquisition financing, and general corporate and alternative entity matters.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Confident presenter with strong intellectual, interpersonal, and technical abilities.
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Mastery of the substantive area of PE practice; knowledge of the firm’s core industry verticals.
Additional Details:
This is a non-billable, full-time position. The expected annual pay range is $220,000 - $315,000, dependent on geographic location, experience, and skill set.
