Position Overview: Join a leading global law firm with offices across the US, Europe, and Asia, known for one of the oldest and most active private equity fund practices in the country. We are seeking an experienced attorney to support our Private Equity practice group as a resource attorney. In this non-billable role, you will enable practicing attorneys to be more informed and efficient through knowledge management, precedent development, and practice innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience Management: Assist with M&A/PE data and experience input, working alongside our M&A resource attorney and knowledge management team.
  • Forms and Precedents: Draft and revise template documents; curate and organize the PE group’s forms, precedents, and know-how; and ensure consistency across practice areas.
  • Legal Updates: Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting PE and key industry sectors (software/SaaS, fintech, telecom, education); prepare summaries and updates; and integrate new requirements into practice resources.
  • Internal Resources: Develop and maintain the internal landing page for the PE group.
  • Training and Education: Collaborate with the legal education team to create content for associate and firmwide training initiatives.
  • Marketing Support: Work with the PE/M&A marketing team to develop content for pitches, articles, and other business development materials, including blog content and industry-specific presentations.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with the quantitative analyst group, resource attorneys in other practice groups, and the innovation team on AI and tech-enabled workflows.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Address day-to-day attorney requests for precedents, templates, and other resources; participate in new knowledge and practice innovation projects.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US corporate/transactional practice, with a focus on private equity.
  • Working knowledge of PE matters including M&A, portfolio company management, regulatory issues, partnership-based equity compensation and related tax issues (including profits interests), acquisition financing (including mid-market LBOs), and general corporate/alternative entity matters.
  • Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills; confident and engaging presenter.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, technical, and time-management abilities.

Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills are required. The ideal candidate is a confident presenter, self-starter, and team player with excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
